PhotoVoices 2023 in partnership with Atlantic Council for International Cooperation (ACIC Canada)
The McRissar Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of the Photovoices program 2023 in partnership with ACIC Canada. This innovative program aims to empower young girls by giving them a platform to share their stories and perspectives through photography.
Ten girls have been selected to participate in the program, and they will have the opportunity to work with the founder of the McRissar Foundation, Rabi, as well as a special guest photographer. Together, they will learn about photography techniques and storytelling, and create a powerful visual narrative that reflects their unique experiences and perspectives.
The program launch event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests such as Barr Sule Shuibu (Esq), Chairman of the McRissar Board of Trustees, Gloria Lemmy Jonson, Member of the Board of Trustees, Jidda Mamman, CEO of Sugar Bee, Friends of McRissar and volunteers.
The program will culminate in an exhibition of the girls’ work, giving them the chance to share their voices with a wider audience and inspire others to do the same.
This is a great opportunity for young girls to express themselves and their concerns through photography and the foundation is excited to see the impact it will have on their lives and the community.
